RECONCILIATION WEEK

 My Spirit Thirsts

    Creator Spirit,
Blessed are you who made all things.
You are wondrous with your blessings.
    You have given me land.
This is where I come from.
    My sacredness,
    My identity,
    My food and shelter,
   My healing,
    My knowledge,
    My strength,
    My hope.
Take the Land from me and you take my soul.
You know who I am, where I come from and where I am going.
You have made my tracks in the land.
Grant me the wisdom to follow them with courage.
    The land, she comforts m.
My Spirit thirsts for her love to be present in my heart.
I know I am never alone.

Sacrament of Reconciliation

The last week has been very busy for the Year 3 students.  On the evening of Wednesday 22nd May, the Reconciliation Candidates and their parents attended the sacrament workshop in Cooinda.  The facilitator, Sarah Smith, spoke wonderfully about the meaning of 'Reconciliation', what the bible scripture teaches about this sacrament, its relevance to the Catholic Religion and the importance of reconciliation as a way of healing our relationships with God and others.

Last night the Year 3 group of students came together again to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation at St. Christopher's Church.  It was a lovely evening.  The students gave the occasion the respect it deserved, responded well and spoke to the priests from their hearts.  We congratulate them on receiving this special sacrament of healing.  May God bless you all!
